Marathon's premium asphalt hot boxes are heavy duty, fully insulated and customizable to suit your needs! This particular model is diesel fired and equipped with an oil jacketed material vat to keep your asphalt warmer for longer periods of time when traveling between job sites. The hydraulic scissor hoist creates superior stability when unloading asphalt and decreases operator fatigue to keep your crews working! These units are ideal for cities, municipalities, as well as contractors both big and small!
Features
- Polyhedral material vat featuring a 10° rear-sloped floor with all other walls channeling material directly towards rear gate.
- Electrically actuator top loading doors to decrease operator fatigue.
- Outfitted with a stainless steel front, rear wall, shovelling platform and top loading doors to protect against exposure to harsh weather and resist damage from tools and asphalt build-up.
- Versatile tandem axle trailer design with a low center of gravity giving the unit more stability.
- An 8 gallon tool rinse tank, 4 pc tool rack, 3 gallon release agent spray bottle come standard on all models.

OIL-JACKETED FEATURES
Our equipment has a reputation for outlasting the competition! Oil jacketed
units have a longer
lifespan in comparison to air jacketed versions as the oil absorbs the heat
generated by the
burner and the flame no longer acts as the heat source for the asphalt,
saving the lifespan of
the steel.
Oil jacketed units produce even heat distribution throughout the whole
hopper so that asphalt
doesn’t burn or soften unevenly throughout. Our design has superior heat
retention and comes
standard with automatic temperature control to consistently maintain the
quality of your product
and eliminate the need for frequent burner on/off control.
Oil jacketed models feature a 120V overnight heater to keep asphalt warm
overnight to minimize
heat up time the next day.
HYDRAULIC DUMP FEATURES
42° hydraulic dumping angle plus the 10° provided by the floor
guarantees maximum material output. Dual safety lock-out bars will
support vat at 20° for maintenance.
Hydraulic scissor hoist for superior stability when dumping asphalt.
Fully enclosed hydraulic powerpack with a single magnetic & detachable
operator pendant to allow hopper control from desired location.
Alarm sounds whenever tilt system is operated downwards for operator
safety.
OPTIONS
- 300,000 BTU hand held vapor propane torch with 15' hose
- 30 gallon insulated tack tank (available in propane or diesel heating)
- Power spray system with engine, pump, spray wand, flushing tank and hose reel
- Compactor plate with hoist & electric winch
- LED work lights
