Canadian Property Stars were hired to repair a section of deteriorated asphalt in a private parking lot. The section was beyond any surface repairs and required to be removed and replaced.

Canadian Property Stars began by identifying the areas of problem that were becoming a safety issue for. Once the areas had been identified using a chalk line, Dave and his team began marking out the area in which they would begin cutting out the damaged asphalt. The damaged asphalt was then broken up into smaller sections to make the removal easier.

Once the damaged asphalt was removed and the surface was prepped it was time for the Marathon HMT (Hot Mix Transporter) to dispense hot asphalt. The HMT is an effective way to transfer material from the asphalt plant to the jobsite. Once on site the machine brings the asphalt up to a working temperature fast and efficiently.

Once the material is on the ground the team had to work the material into place with rakes and lutes and tamp the material flat. These tools can be carried on the front deck of the HMT with its tool holder and optional plate tamper deck.
