Codington County - Tack Spraying

Equipment Used: LD600DT

Codington County uses their LD600DT to gently heat and distribute MC70 cutback asphalt for road repair projects.

The MC70 is applied to the surface of the existing asphalt that requires repair. This application of material prepares the surface by waterproofing any existing damage, while creating an adhesive for an aggregate to by applied on top.

First, the LD600DT does a pass, applying the MC70 through the 8' spray bar at a rate of 60 GPM. An operator can stand on the operator's platform at the rear of the machine, or the driver can use the cab controller to pneumatically control the spray bar.
