Ecocare was incorporated in 1991 as a full-service landscape contractor that has evolved to provide repair and service to manage large scale facilities and infrastructure. Ecocare is selected by its customers to maintain and provide seasonal services in a single annual budget.

Ecocare has had great success using Marathon's mastic equipment in tandem with Maxwell Products Gap Patch Mastic in their commercial facility projects. The common problem of wheel rut and torsion damage has been a specialty of theirs since being introduced to the mastic solutions.

Seguin County was looking for innovative solutions for country roads that are facing maintenance and repair issues that are expensive and difficult to repair. Wheel ruts is one of these issues, with no conventional method of repair beyond complete resurfacing of the road using milling and paving machines. Ecocare and Marathon Equipment brought forward Mastic at an association meeting, and the county was willing to test the repair.

Using two MM250ADT to melt and distribute Maxwell's Gap Patch 531, Ecocare was able to level the wheel ruts on this country road in a cost-effective manner. The huge cost savings was achieved by eliminating the need to deploy large milling and paving equipment, removing existing asphalt from site and the number of workers required for the repair.

The only equipment required for this repair in addition to the MM250ADT was a Vanair air compressor and Billy Goat Blower for preparation and three work trucks to pull the melters and transport the pallets of Gap Patch 531 material.

This repair will ensure the road is not only safer to drive on but also prevent future water damage as the Gap Patch material provides a completely waterproof repair.
